Supporting communities around the world
Corporate matching programs are a way for Halliburton to financially match donations that come from employees to nonprofits and other charitable organizations, including colleges and universities. To make charitable donations go further, Halliburton absorbs all administrative costs
- Halliburton Foundation Established in 1965, the Halliburton Foundation is a U.S.-based organization that supports education at all levels and charitable organizations through employee matching gifts and direct grants. The Foundation matches U.S. based employee donations on a 2.25:1 basis, up to $20,000 annually per employee for colleges and universities. In addition, the company will match the donations of U.S. employees to primary and secondary schools in a ratio of 2.25:1, with each employee up to $500 per year.
- GIving Choices. Giving Choices is an annual Halliburton campaign that invites employees around the world to support qualified charities and non-profit organizations with donations and volunteering. From 2005 to 2020 Halliburton, employees pledged nearly US $40 million to support over 1,500 charities worldwide — a record of giving that is emblematic of our commitment to strengthen communities around the world. Every October, employees around the world pledge money to their charities of choice through the Giving Choices program. Countries include: U.S., Canada, Mexico, U.K., Australia, New Zealand, India, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Pakistan, Kuwait, Iraq, Oman, Egypt, UAE, and Qatar. In addition to providing a 10 percent matching gift, Halliburton also absorbs any administrative fees to support the campaign. Over the last two years, Giving Choices campaign, employees pledged more than $1.8 million to non-profits globally.
