To continue founder Erle P. Halliburton's legacy of positive community support, Halliburton works to create opportunities that benefit the areas where we live and work. Our community support comes from the Halliburton Foundation, our Company, and the Halliburton Charitable Foundation. Each of these giving arms contributes time, donations, and resources to many global charities and nonprofits. We focus our charitable support across Four Pillars of Giving– Education, Environment, Health and Safety, and Social Services.
The Halliburton Foundation makes direct donations to U.S.-based elementary and secondary schools along with colleges and universities. At its discretion, the Foundation's board of trustees also provides a limited number of grants to health and health-related charities. The board reviews grant requests on a quarterly basis. Since 1993, the Halliburton Charity Golf Tournament has raised more than $23 million to help nonprofit organizations. Proceeds from the golf tournament benefit a diverse but select group of charities in areas of education, environment, social services and health and safety.
